Meranie farby kožných nálezov pre súdnolekársku a dermatologickú dokumentáciu.
Colour measurement of skin findings for forensic and dermatological documentation.
Professional manual: method, measurement, calibration, limits.
Fachhandbuch: Methode, Messung, Kalibrierung, Grenzen der Methode.
Colorime3ka zmeria farbu kožného nálezu z fotografie alebo zo živého záberu, prevedie ju do CIELAB a pomenuje podľa najbližšej referenčnej farby (ΔE, CIEDE2000).
Nie. Slúži na opis a dokumentáciu nálezu; posúdenie patrí lekárovi.
Colorime3ka measures the colour of a skin finding from a photograph or the live camera, converts it to CIELAB and names it by the nearest reference colour (ΔE, CIEDE2000). Beyond colour it recognises the morphological pattern by chromophore, which substance causes the colour: melanin, haemoglobin, dried blood or missing pigment. It includes a atlas of 68 findings in Slovak, English and German with original schematic drawings.
From version 3.0 the app locates a printed T2/T3 calibration target by itself, derives a millimetre scale from LiDAR on iPhone Pro and takes the body region into account in the clinical context; from version 3.1 it assesses the healing of a postoperative wound against the Southampton wound score and the CDC/NHSN surgical-site-infection definition: an orientational grading for documentation, not a diagnosis of infection. From version 3.2 it checks whether the surroundings of the measured area can be skin (a plausibility check, not skin recognition), shows measurement stability and the ITA° of the surrounding skin, and asks about a coating (iodine, ointment, dye). From version 3.2.1 a point set by dragging with the loupe stays exactly where you lift your finger, and scale points are placed with a magnified crosshair and can be moved. From version 3.3 the app is also available in German, and the ten atlas cards most often confused have a new drawing with surface and cross-section panels and a numbered legend.
The app gives no diagnosis and is not a medical device. Percentages express the agreement of measured features with reference criteria, not diagnostic certainty; the ceiling is 85 %. The decision always belongs to the physician.
A detailed professional manual is available as a PDF (English): the chromophore method, measured reference values, how to photograph, calibration, fingerprint sharing and the limits of the method.
Colour in a photograph is the product of skin colour and the colour of the light. The largest error is not a missing calibration card but the phone's automatics: white balance actively tries to remove the colour cast, which is precisely the discolouration you want to measure. Lock exposure and white balance by long-pressing on healthy skin beside the finding, and shoot perpendicular in even light.
A grey card removes the colour cast of the lighting. A 24-patch colour chart additionally corrects how the camera renders colours, which matters for bruises, because the only defensible time indication is the shift towards yellow, and that is the axis with the largest error. Calibration always applies to a single photograph.
A photograph does not carry the features that most often decide: whether the skin is broken, whether the lesion blanches under pressure, whether skin markings are preserved. Each of these excludes whole groups of findings more reliably than any colour measurement. Factually impossible combinations are excluded outright and the reason is stated.
No, and it says so openly. Colour tables assigning a number of days have not been confirmed in more recent work. The only indication supported by the literature is the yellow component: it is not observed in a bruise younger than roughly 18 hours.
An optional feature (off by default) for specialists with verified conclusions. It stores a measurement as a reference fingerprint: twelve measured numbers and your note, never a photograph. The fingerprint joins recognition immediately and can be exported as a .ch3lab file and carried to another device.
Never on its own, and it transmits nothing. The one exception is the Take photo button in Camera (from 3.0): on your command it saves a single still to your own Photos library (add-only permission) and opens it in the Photo tab. Details in the privacy policy.
No. It supports description and documentation; the assessment belongs to a physician.
